    • The staff and owner are really nice. On the super busy restock day, they try to make sure everyone has at least a bag to carry their items if all the carts are taken (which I really appreciate because I forget all the time). There are a lot of treasures to find if you take the time. If you need to open a box to test something, ASK. They will help you. They try to keep boxes sealed cause then parts go missing and noone wants them. Read the boxes! There's usually a small bar code that gives a brief description. If not, again.. ASK.

    • I was in this store, very interesting the way they want you to buy something inside a box with no information and sealed and when you open it someone comes and complains to you. It is possible to find something cool if you have patience and time. My review is mainly due to the gesture of one of the workers at the place who I believe to be the owner, I asked to see one of the JBL boxes that are "sealed" next to the cashier and asking if they were original he told me YES, so I asked for Seeing them up close and looking at the product in hand they are more real than a $3 coin, seeing this told him that they are not original and he said that everything was fake. Be careful, you can't believe everyone.

    • If you are expecting anything but the bottom of the barrel shopping experience, your expectations are too high. With that being said, you can get some really good buys. Keep in mind your item may be broken or stained. You are taking that chance. These are primarily Amazon returns. I ended up with a $30 backpack, a $70 heated blanket, and a $45 Happy Napper for just $10 each. I will be returning.

    • Love this place. It is not as big as some of the other bin stores in the area but it is always kept clean and orderly and I always manage to find a few things for myself and for my reselling business. The owners are always super friendly and accommodating. I just wish that they would take pictures of their items the night before their big days (Wednesdays) like all of the other bin stores in the area. I would go every week if they did but will now just go if I have an open morning and I can take a chance that there might be something for me when I get there.

    • I love this place! I have pillow covers and yard flags for every holiday and season at bargain prices. I have found lots of crafting items for me, friends, and to donate to a classroom for challenged students-they enjoy their goodie bag of projects. People here are super nice and owner appreciates his people
      Kylette
    • I used to enjoy coming to the store but here for the past month and half they have a large Bluetooth speaker box in the rear of the store blasting some metal music junk over and over again that really annoys anybody with common sense. I feel they don't want anyone's business to shop at the store anymore. I feel if they want to listen to loud music like a rock concert they can do it without me and I'll just drive to Greensboro and give the liquidation centers down there my business for a more pleasant experience.

    • It's just the outlet now, the "normal" store is now e-commerce pickup. Be prepared to dig, but it's one of the best place to find deals.
      Matt
    • Loved the staff at the Goodwill Outlet/the bins, they were very nice and helpful. I got some good clothing and shoes to resell at a very cheap price (I think clothes are about $1.50 per pound.) However, I have to say it was very dark and dingy and hard to accurately examine clothing because the lighting was bad. There was also a lot of dust which made me cough. But I love Goodwill and you really can't beat the price. If you are sensitive to dust, maybe wear a face mask. I would also come early in the day because by the afternoon the best items are picked over by the professional resellers.
      Margaret
    • Staff is great, probably need more of them though. Complaint is about customers. There should be a 1 cart per customer rule and people either need to not bring their kids, or keep them by their side. Two people jammed up registers by pushing 4-6 carts overflowing with items. I have no issue with great deals, we are all there for the same purpose. However, one person taking all the shoes or another buying all the toys and then preventing other customers from being able to move because their carts are parked all over the place, then lining up so many carts that the line is now wrapped around by the bins so again, customers can't shop, is ridiculous.

    • There's the Goodwill Outlet and a Goodwill Store at this address. The outlet sells things by the pound. There are large bins (see photos) that you dig through. It is sort of organized by the bin. Lots of digging for treasures. I found two totes that cost me $3.30 total. The Goodwill store looks like a department store. Very organized and great prices. Very friendly staff. I purchased a gorgeous cabinet for $31. Two gentlemen loaded it for me. There's a large parking lot but it was packed. I had to drive around to find a space. Both stores were very busy.

    • This review is for the outlet location- There's no signs for anything really regarding price, or the checkout process. Shoes are all prices different and the cashier makes up the prices her self. She made me empty my cart and gave a separate price for almost everything. One pair of sandals $1, another $3, reusable tote bags $3.50!!!!! Each!!! For a tote I can get for $1 in store. I accidentally put an eyeglass cover in the bin to be weighed and she freaked out over it saying clothes only. I've been to so many outlet locations, they usually weigh every thing in the cart for one flat price. Why was everything here priced horribly? I put back half of my cart!

    • This place is amazing for us hardcore thrifters!!!! They have a warehouse floor full of bins of clothing, textiles, shoes, home goods and so much more that are pay by the pound!! I got over 30 pieces of clothing and a pair of fur boots for 25 bucks Some of the stuff is hit or miss but totally worth it if you are confident in your sizes or need a place to get cheap clothes for your family or community. If you love a good deal, make sure you have plenty of time because they care constantly bringing out more stuff throughout the day. There is also a more formal store front for clothing, furniture and computers where they sell their more high end items for more money. I would definitely recommend wearing gloves and washing your items before wearing as some of the items arent the cleanest. Overall, i love this place and it has some.of the best, cheapest, name brand styles of anywhere in the 7 cities! Happy shopping

    • Don’t waste your time. I was excited until I walked in the door. Most of the items were more than what they are at typical stores. They had a bottle of hydro peroxide off brand priced at $6!!!!! Ya’ll are trippin!!!!

    • Great prices but selection can be hit or miss. You can find some great deals but you have to look. They group most items by category but you will still want to turn every stone. Most of the men's shirts came from Target and still have the tags on them. An example of the deals...2 large rolls of Christmas wrapping paper for $1.\ Happy Hunting!

    • This is a small business, owned by a nice family who deserves to support. Great customer service This place makes a great idea for new homeowners as they can find new furniture or house items for great prices. Dome of the items are new while some others are use or missing parts, so you need to check the item well before purchase. I definitely recommend it!

    • Bought what I thought was going to be a unused air mattress for $10 on saturday. Turned out to be a very used air mattress full of cigarette smoke as soon as we turned it on it filled the room full of smoke almost making it unbreatheable. You get what you pay i guess unfortunately. Won't be returning don't want to risk what will come home with us again.

    • Very cool idea. We went on a Sunday, so everything was $5. I would have bought a lot more if it were Tuesday or Wednesday, when everything is $1 or less. My husband found something he was about to order from Amazon, and we got it for so much less. I want to go back on a Wednesday and see what kind of stuff is left. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back again.
      Amy
    • I couldn't even get past the front door before someone was yelling at me that I couldn't bring my daughter into the store in her stroller. They advertise as family-friendly but I find that extremely hard to believe as my family was turned away. If kids aren't allowed it should be posted. I experienced horrible customer service and didn't even get to shop. I will not be returning.

I’ve never left empty-handed and I’ve never left disappointed. I can always find things for my baby and my dogs there, as well as gifts for myself. Other bin stores I’ve gone to have really junky and repetitive stock, but I’ve never felt that way with Kool Bins. It’s a great place to shop around with your friends and family.

    • NOT DISABLED FRIENDLY. I came here with my friend. Both of us are disabled and either pass out or have seizures. She had to sit down for a second so she could be out of the way when having a possible seizure. The MANAGER proceeded to snap at us as we were trying to very calmly tell him that we are disabled. I repeat NOT A PROFESSIONAL OR DISABLED FRIENDLY BUSINESS.

You simply look through the stuff and purchase what you want. As for electronics, you literally take a chance at purchasing them at a super low price. If it doesnt work when you get home , fix it or give it to someone who will… majority of the time it works. You paid at the most $12 for a $50/$100/$200 product…

Other than that I really like the things I got...ok I got a two bar rack for clothes and it was missing one of the wheels....I can fix that up some kind of way...a jc penny pillow that has a small tear in it....I can fix that I got a sewing machine a couple of weeks ago look like the tag was removed, got a king size comforter set and some more odds and ends to fix my place up....I really want to go back for a pressure cooker

    • If you like to save on top brand items, go to EZ Dealz! It's addicting, but so worth it. Me & my husband visit this store at least once a week, and we NEVER leave empty handed. $10 days are crazy, and the bins are overflowing. Even on $1 day, the bins are full! If that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what will. This is not your average bin store. This one is very clean, kept up with, and the workers are so so respectful! My 3 year old son has even joined in, and asks daily to go to 'ez dealz' haha. With items related to beauty, auto, home, education, electronics, baby/kids... there is something for everyone! If you haven't checked them out yet, I highly recommend you go check it out. I guarantee you'll leave with at least one item!

    • this place was my favourite, but 1 week ago they forbade me to test the appliances, SO HOW CAN I BUY SOMETHING THAT I DON'T KNOW IF IT WORKS, today I went and the place was literally empty of people, the new rules imposed, they are quite absurd, you can't request open the packages to check if they are in good condition or not, you can't test the mainstream items anymore to see if it really works, GOSH, can they really bankrupt a business like that?

    • This is a great place to find some amazing deals. However, their policy of posting pictures on the outside of the box and not allowing you to open them really sucks! I've been burned twice now because they posted the picture on the outside of the box for something that was supposed to be new and it turned out to be broken. Needless to say due to this policy and the risk that you may get what you pay for and you may not, I won't be going back.

    • This is the largest and most organized Goodwill I have ever seen~ Although I was only dropping off items after a move I was greeted, given a cart to unload items and simply handed the cart over to some kind smiling faces~ I plan to explore the store in the large facility!

    • Ah "the bins" as they are called in most re-seller groups. My first visit to this location. They don't like you taking photos or video so be discreet. Was told photos not allowed by staff. Separate electronics area that's priced more like a regular Goodwill. What's the point of that? Prices are way too high in this area. Everything is priced mid-eBay selling prices. No flipping items from here. The regular bins however not bad. I found plenty of junk for $14 I can use or sell. I am primarily a re-seller but I also buy and have found plenty of items for my personal use as well. I love the treasure hunt and if you do you probably already know all about it. This location however is kinda hidden in the back of what I always thought was just the Goodwill office building. For years I never knew this was even back here. You have to go around the building to the back! Check out the photos. Hit the thumbs up button for this review please!

    • I seriously been trying to rate this location…. But it is just going down weekly. The "regulars" are absolutely terrible. It is like a zoo. They push and move bins and just act like they own this place. Another issue is amount of little kids running around. Sooo many little kids and they are all over the place. Kids of all ages are everywhere, sometimes feels like it is a daycare or something and the worst part is no one is watching these kids. They are just running free and employees have to constantly scream for parents. Only two people at this location can calm "regulars" down. Thank God for the manager of this location. If she is out on the floor the craziness calms down a little. Someone please get this location under some kind of control.

    • we stumbled across this outlet by chance (never new goodwill had an outlet before) and fell in love, will be making many more trips to salem just to shop here. all the staff i dealt with was very friendly. if you have never been to a goodwill outlet, its different then the regular goodwill, everything is in bins and sold by the pounds. its dirtier and unorganized then the other stores but thats the nature of it. take your time and search through you wont be disappointed, I got some really nice high end brands that was in great shape for next to nothing.

    • The "digging bins" is a great place to find decorations for your home, electronics, shoes, clothing, bed linens, hats, books, you name it. There's usually a line at the entrance before it opens. Some people sell on eBay and Amazon and want to find the best items It's a neat place
      Jennifer
    • The outlet store is my go to. Highly recommended. Picked up $175 worth of New Halloween stuff with tags still on for $9. You can also find sewing patterns for extremely cheap because it's based on pounds. I found vintage sewing patterns in excellent condition here some weren't even used. It's all about continuously coming back and checking through all bins. I do recommend you bring gloves to search through some of the bins.

    • Super excited we finally have an outlet in VB! Clean and well organized. Hopefully it stays that way too. Staff was friendly also. Got lots of goodies and only spent $35.

    • Love it! So much fun! Edit: after shopping weekly for the last few months, the atmosphere seems to get worse with each visit. We've seen or had at least one altercation each visit lately. It's getting beyond ridiculous. If you aren't being hassled by a nutty customer, you will be by a nuttier employee. And if you are lucky you might shop through one bin without it being snatched from under you by an employee or getting elbowed. Bad management or bad policies?? Do better. If it's on the floor it should be for sale. Literally had an employee take items out of my cart today because they were apparently taken from a forbidden bin. No signs or labels or anyone to inform the bin was forbidden. Just sitting in the middle of the store with every other bin. No one said a word while i was shopping it. But 5 minutes later stop me and take my items from my cart....absolutely bizarre. Never seen anything like it before.

    • All employees are friendly and Restrooms are surprisingly cleaner than I expected. BUT, it's just way too darn hot & stuffy inside. Went there more than 5 times and it's always smelly and stuffy as hell. I understand it's a thrift store outlet but it's almost inhumane to stay there to digging stuff up even just for 15min in such hot summer weather

    • This is a small bin store. Not setup like most. But if you don’t like the crowds then this just might be your speed. Most of the good stuff your looking for will be higher then the bin prices listed as it looks like they go through everything before putting out. Electronics seem to be on a wall for a fixed amount. Most toys will be in a bin for five dollars. Electronics ranged from five dollars to 300 dollars. As the head Apple headphones. Just be mindful at all bin stores. We walked out with just two items. Which is kinda sad for my wife. She usually can spend 200$ in these stores easily. But it was our first time stop. Will be back again to see what might be there again.

    • ***Buyer beware! I purchased two items from this store earlier today. I got a cat window hammock and a pet water fountain. Both items are damaged beyond repair and missing necessary parts. The cat hammock doesnt have any of the screws required to hold it together. The pet water fountain doesnt work, at all. The man that checked us out didnt offer a reciept and we paid in cash.

    • My sister took me to this place. And their other place they have in Winchester. I found great deals. Then I went back with a friend. I left my license and when I called two days later they had them. Thanks to all the workers who took care of them. They know who they were.

    • Unfortunately multiple items I’ve gotten from there have been broken. We’ve contacted them and they say “no refunds.” One of the items had an Amazon return slip for it being broken but we didn’t see it until we opened the box. It even had the persons personal address on the box which I feel was amazons mistake but this business also sold it with it on there. They wouldn’t accept the item back in exchange for something that actually worked and my son was heartbroken his toy was broken and essentially for me it was wasted money. Do better, point blank

    • I didn’t know this place was here till I was driving around and saw this small sign, the place is kinda hidden they do have room for a lot of cars as I guess this place gets very crowded. Cashier seemed friendly, and there is a lot of things to choose from, I tried taking some pictures but I know not everything in the photos will be there if you go because stuff goes quick!! They do have larger items that are sold at a discounted price, I saw a couple bathtubs.
