Instead of racks and price tags, goods arrive in large blue rolling bins, unsorted, and are sold by the pound. At the register your haul goes on a scale. Clothing, housewares and toys are usually a single rate per pound, with a lower rate once you pass a bulk threshold (commonly 25 lb or 50 lb).
