    • Let me just say this , the website says it's 99 cents a pound , then you Arrive to find out it's 2.49 a pound ..that's a huge difference. I find it some places marketing strategies are dishonest ...well this is a perfect example ..you may find some good stuff .. but you need to be patient and dig ..really dig through trash yes trash .. the thing that really bothers me.
      Rocky
    • Definitely a one man's trash is another man's treasure situation, emphasis on trash so bring gloves if you come here and make sure you clean everything you buy. Always some cool finds when i come here but the customers act like wild dogs. A lot of depop resellers who frequent this place so be cautious when going.
      Deewhir
    • I've been twice now and it was amazing. You will find books, electronics, clothes, toys, furniture and general merchandise. If you don't like to get your hands dirty to treasure hunt this place is not for you. I loved it! I'm compulsive enough to enjoy digging through a ton of absolute garbage to find my treasures. Everything but the furniture is laid out on piled up tables. It reminds me of the dump without without the smell. Lots of people, screaming children, and feeding frenzies when they bring out a new table. It's insane, people will open a game or a puzzle and toss it to the four winds. It is insane and a total mess and like I said, I loved it.

    • This is a warehouse for donations with a retail outlet for mostly unsorted items. Prices are even cheaper than the regular Goodwill resale stores, but books and clothes are in piles within deep bins, so finding what you want may be a challenge. Housewares and furniture are easier to find.
      Neil
    • Every time I go in, I end up with waaaay more than I meant to get, but it's 100% worth it every time. There's always a ton of clothes, which are sold by the lb, furniture, knickknacks, electronics, hella records, antiques, shoes, hats, golf clubs, bedding, books books books galore, etc..... I could go on and on....
      Craig
    • I can always find something worth buying. One person's trash is definitely another person's treasure! I found some really cool and nice items.

    • Pushing, shoving and grabbing things away from other shoppers with little regard to safety, personal space or manners....The UGLY - this place dredges up all sorts, and I mean all sorts of folks, not the cleanest place, so watch your kids or leave them home. Some humans are half dressed, speak no English whatsoever, observe no common manners or practice good personal cleanliness; they swear and shove around your kids while toting their half naked, possibly sick, constantly crying offspring. There are a couple regulars that work the flea markets (I know who you are) I've had to threaten to have them arrested if the touch me again or stare down other ladies tops.
      Cheryl
    • It's one where it's just big tubs of stuff and you look through to find the good stuff. I especially loved the book section. I work at a school library with a small budget and I found 25 books and they're all just 15 cents each.
      Jessica
    • Good prices, but they really need to hire security. Just being here for 30 minutes I witnessed a guy stuffing massive amounts of stuff into his bag and going to the bathroom, a family taking scissors and cutting random items in the bins, and a guy shooting up in the bathroom with the door half open. Whole store reeks of urine and desperately needs to be cleaned. You expect the bins and the items in them to be somewhat unsanitary, but this is something else. You don't want to touch half the stuff here. I felt very unsafe and gross being here.

    • Intresting place, you really have to dig around to find some treasure. The staff is nice and does their best to coordinate the bins and bring new things out. Fellow thrifters can get a bit wild when a new bin is rolled out and they all jump on it. Center bins are full of random clothes, all shapes , sizes , color, condition. Book bins are to the side as well as shoes. Furniture in the back and household randomness to the left of the store. It takes a bit of time and sorting but I can usually find somethings I am happy with.

    • Many of the clothes in the bins are actually in great shape! Lots of good quality baby clothes too. This is a great place to come to give back to your community by taking some items home, throwing them in for a quick wash, and donating them to your local homeless shelter. This also helps the environment - these items are donated to people in need instead of sitting it a landfill after they are sent off from Goodwill Outlet. Overall, the staff and customers were very friendly and polite. I avoided the new bins because people swarm them like a Black Friday sale. The clothes were $1.54 per pound!
      Star
    • Good place to find a lil bit of everything!!! ....Prices for most stuff is $1.54 a pound , shoes are $3 a pair, blankets, comforters and sleeping bags are $6. Furniture is priced as marked...I love shopping here its an adventure every time...enjoy!!!
      Suzanne
    • First time I've been there since the pandemic began. You can find good buys if you're lucky to get a chance with all the vultures. It's just ridiculous how some people just can't wait to hijack the bins like it's the last they'll ever see. It's not the cleanest place to shop so if cleanliness is an issue, stay away. Again, somedays you can find good buys, somedays not. The prices are great, I admit, just dealing with all the people isn't so great.

    • I come here for the bargains. Clothing is $1.49/lb. It can be pretty messy in here, so I highly recommend bringing your patience, maybe some gloves, and leaving young kids at home. Plan for a couple of hours to sift through each of the bins. Be aware that when new bins are brought out, people lose their minds fighting to be the first to grab stuff. No thank you, I'm happy to wait. Parking can be tough some days.

    • I love this place the people who work there are the best, very helpful and nice. You can find things that you weren't even looking for the best good rates.
      Kimberley
    • This is an OUTLET store, meaning that anything the Retail Goodwill stores don't carry will show up here. Everything is brought out in large trays and the customers have to wait till all the trays are set out before they can rummage through them. This happens several times a day, so the excitement is high. You may find trash or treasure, anything from clothes to jewelry, furniture to crafting supplies. Items are weighted and priced by weight except for the heavier items which are priced individually or by a formula that is posted. This is not children friendly, as they will have to stay in a cart, and it is very difficult to move the cart in and out of the trays.
      Eva
    • I had fun dumpster diving with my son here. It's like fishing... you never know what you'll find. Just keep in mind everything In the bins are sold by weight so if you buy a brick of course you'll be paying too much for it but a lightweight or small item you can get a screaming deal on it. It's worth the experience to try it one time. Tip- Bring a bag to put your stuff in and wear gloves. Have fun.

    • Nice employees. Unfortunately the customers in line were extremely rude and really turned me off of the whole experience. Mostly resellers who are strangely competitive which was a bummer. Not the most relaxing thrifting experience but if you want v cheap clothes definitely the place to go.
      Julie
    • UPDATED HOURS & PRICES The current process is each person/group gets 2 min per bin and a beeping sound tells you when the 2 mins are over. There's about 12-14 bins to go through. At the end you can go back to any of the bins too. I'd recommend bringing someone else bc it's too hard to go through a bin in 2 mins by yourself. Also I recommend bringing gloves and your own bags since they don't provide any. They change out the bins after every group, so you'll get new stuff too! The whole process takes about an hour so be prepared to wait. Some people bring chairs. The people who work there are they're doing the best they can.
      Paula
    • Went back for a 2nd time and learned more: The only way this works out is if you bring someone to sit in the line for you all day. The entry process is wait in line as they replenish the clothing bins inside, then they let a certain amount of people in (if you don't make the cut, you wait another 40-60 min in line) eventually and hopefully you get in but I did see people turned away after waiting a long time. The reason to bring someone is so when you get in, once that round is over and everyone is kicked back out, you just jump back in line with your person (who is likely at the front).

    • The good will store is large not bad prices. The outlet is smaller then the one on Madison avenue with low ceilings that make you feel claustrophobic prices are the same at both outlets. Parking is also very limited.
      Matthew
    • The Outlet next door is great! We came here on Saturday, to its opening at 8am sharp, and it was fun. You can find lots of great stuff, new with tags, vintage, everything by the pound, $1.59 per pound, cheap! You can get bags of stuff. My girlfriend even found Lululemon clothes here, her favorite sport brand, pretty expensive one btw, and I found a pair of vintage Levi jeans. I might go here and try to resell stuff online.
      Jake
    • This particular Goodwill is a mixed bag of good and bad. The regular side is clean, organized, and about the same as any other store with friendly associates. The outlet side is beyond crazy, people storm bins coming out and start throwing things at each other and into other bins. Some customers drop and throw glass objects in every direction and laugh about it when they break. You take your chances with the off chance of finding something that is mostly paid by weight and up to the checkout clerk. The parking is a joke because the building is shared with their warehouse and the spots are narrow and all the spots closest to the store entrances are mostly filled with employees. I don't understand why they can't park near the 100 spaces near the donation entrance. Why can't they enforce a peaceful shopping experience and kick rowdy people out? I've watched them jump people when it comes to masks though...

    • There a goodwill outlet next door to this location. Today was a slow push day and I was waiting for new bins. I notice about five people waiting out the outlet bins with full carts and bags of stuff without paying. The line was very long and allot of them are regulars there and just wait out the door. Those people need to be banned and a registered moved closer to the doors. It was sad to see these regulars do this and this can't be the first time they have done this. One of them walk back into the store after loading his car. Wearing a back and orange SF giant's hat and jacket. Little Asian dude always there. Prosecutes these people for stealing.

      Tabitha
    • Literally came here in the evening and found a lot of designer things. IT IS CHARGED BY THE POUND. Know what to expect. #1 huge blue bins that you must dig through. If you are particular, do not come here. #2 If you are into reselling, you might want to make this a whole day event. #3 If you get tired easily, you will need caffeine to keep going. #4 the shoes are rarely together, you will be lucky to find a matching pair. #5 If you have kids and you aren't trying to go broke..come here. #6 You pile everything into your own shopping cart and they put the entire cart on a scale and subtract the weight of the cart. #7 You can find amazing vintage things here. The selection of books can be very very interesting. #8 be nice to the employees there because they deserve it.
      Lin
    • Going to the outlet store is always an experience. It's best to remember to prep beforehand-- have gloves, possible spray bottle of 91% alcohol to neutralize any and all hitchhikers, and a relaxed outlook. I seem to have the best time when I wander with a sharp eye scanning all the nearby rolling table/bins not sure what I'm looking for. Then the surprise find really is a treasure

    • All in all it is one of my favorite thrift stores. I have scored some very unique items by being at the right place at the right time. But, there has been times when I have went in just before closing and found some very cool items. Soo, it's like I have said to others it is hit and miss a good percentage of the time.

    • I was hesitant to go because of the reviews but I went and had no problems at all. I've been twice now and going again. Everyone is so nice and helpful, I guess I got lucky. It's very organized. I was also nervous because I hadn't been to one of these but they explain it to you and doesn't feel overwhelming. - Stephanie

    • Love going for the tote sale, which is M-F 10:30-1. Recommend arriving at 10:30 because it takes time to go through everything and they start pulling away the bins around 12:45. They don't bring out new bins every so often, which makes it really calm. It's a flat rate for 35 pounds, so even if you only buy 20 pounds you pay the same as paying for 35 pounds. Happy Thrifting! - Hilary

    • Came here an hour early to make sure, I have a good spot just for them to do a raffle on who goes first. I wish they would write a sign saying this, so people who knows not to waste their time waiting. It's honestly unfair. Won't come back to this location again

    • I came to donate items here and then realized they also had a store inside the wearhouse where you can buy items at cheap prices. The store in the wearhouse is smaller than I thought it would be, but it is stocked FULL of amazing items at great deals! I bought a sweater for 50 cents!

    • It's just ok. All the other goodwill outlets I've been to (all over the state) do price per pound. This is the first one I've seen where you have to root through the bins and still pay per item…? o.O overall not worth it; go to Salvation Army or Veterans for basically the same price but not doing all the work.

    • weird vibes in here. nobody has manners and workers don't communicate. Was pushed by several customers running and when it was time for them to change the bins, workers didn't communicate on where to go. I didn't even realize the guy was telling me to leave because he wasn't looking at me. I just left. I should have took a photo it was like pigs at troughs

    • Awesome staff , great deals, very clean, never disappoints. Its no longer $1per lbs. I believe its $1 per item now which is still a great deal. Great place to find bedding for sure. You can find new sheet sets there often for only $1 that would cost over $200 in the store. Always new stuff every 30min or so. Sometimes the crowd of regulars are pushy and annoying and they tend to horde a lot of stuff then toss it back later but you get kinda used to it. (not much else you can do) but the people that work there have worked there a long time and are always happy to see you and welcoming. The employees there are reason enough for a 5star rating. Can't say enough good stuff about this spot and their staff.

    • Love this little gem! $1 per piece of clothing makes sorting through the bins worth while. Awesome place!

    • It's great but not like it used to be. Now all the hipsters have taken over and the guys from L.A. as well. They used to have an auction in the morning time but they ain't doing that yet either! Sucks.
      Leah
    • They keep the place clean and the customers and staff seem to be friendly. Found some good stuff. They now allow children inside but they stay in the basket. The basket cannot be taken out the door so you have to carry purchases to your car. Plenty of parking. Can get fairly warm inside; especially when you are masked (now required again). Enjoy.
      Stuart
    • This used to be a good place to find good stuff. When did they allow kids in? This is so bad, kids running everywhere and making a mess.

    • I really like this place excellent place to find treasures. However I hate how the resellers just hang out in the parking lot all day long. They are the first ones on the list for new items and none of them practice social distancing. I feel like they should limit the amount of times someone gets put on that list to 2x a day.

      Carmen
    • Went on Wednesday 4/2 before Grand opening. This is clean, new, bright and nice compared to the Santa Ana bins or Escondido. There are lots of bins, employees are nice, organized. They rotate in sectors, didn't let people hoard carts like in OC. Check out is a breeze just roll up and weight whole cart!!!
      Terry
    • When the bins are getting low they reload them, Lots of stuff to go through and find treasures. And best of all the price is great everything priced by pound. I only bought toys but it was worth it, only $3.

    • Today I found out that only children 12 years and up can go inside the store. I visited it today (first time) with my 13 yrs old son and The worker asked for his student ID, which I did not had with me. It is a thrifty store and are asking for ID's?? I think its too much! I understand that we need to be careful because of Covid but, my son had his mask and i told her he was 13yrs old, why would i lied?
      Magali
    • If you are looking to stock up on clothes and other items, you will find good stuff here. You can pay by weight and less price per pound before 11 am. Keep in mind this is not your typical GW, people here are serious about finding treasures they can resell or use themselves. If you grab it is yours, if you leave it is someone else's. So be nice and respectful, there are regulars that depend on this place so be friendly.
      Jo
    • I should of read the reviews I Drove an hour to find out children under 12 are not allowed in this location. So sitting in the car while my teen daughter shops didn't want her to have her miss out.

    • Says Goodwill Outlet now open but is not an outlet. It's an auction and electronics center. Went in the entrance and could see people in an office but no one helped me and they kept working on a computer. Went outside and talked to a random person who told me what it was. I feel bad that I made my family get off the freeway to stop since it was a waste of time.
      Molly
    • Auctions and electronics store. Different discounts during the week, no student or senior discounts at this location. Cheaper than regular Goodwill shops, but have to look harder to find stuff. If your looking for mostly electronics and accessories, this is the place. Lost power cables, laptop power cable, speaker blew out, lost remote, etc? You probably can find it here. So far I've bought Yamaha HDMI receiver, dvd remotes, blu ray players, cox cable modems, sound bars, wine fridge, misc. cables and even a stock stereo for my van. No complains. There's also workbench to test out electronics.

    • There is NO clearance center here selling "furniture, family apparel, linens, accessories and select household items." There is only the electronics store, and auctions. The electronics store was okay (hence two stars instead of one), plenty of cheap computers and some of the more common video game consoles, but they were all in extremely rough shape. Much worse than I'm used to seeing in Goodwills in other counties

      Luke
    • If you are practicing minimalism, well good luck, lol..you will always find an item or two at this location. I bring my teeny bopper to this location, let her roam free in the clothing section, as she is practicing the 3 "R's"...recycle, reuse, renew. I taught her this "trend" long before it was popular, so she always comes home with a few choice items from this location. The clothes are displayed for ideas and hung to shop "easy". The staff here are wonderful and helpful. Some I recognized have been here years, so it must be a great place to work at! Contribute to the growing trend of giving back, Goodwill is awesome!
      Kerry
    • The electronics section in this store is pretty big. And separate from the store. I just found out that they even had it. But overall i like this store.

    • As an avid lover of the bins, don't waste your time. As of August 2022, they only have been sales outdoors, and it's very limited. This place charges $1.50 per item, and they only sell clothes in the bins. If you want to buy books or electronics or anything else you have to buy it by the box and I'm not sure how much it is but it's too much. I also had to wait in the very dirty and shady office for 15 minutes to pay for my items because for some reason they couldn't open the cash register for my three items that I was purchasing.
      Megan
    • This is an update. I was not sure if this place was open or permanently closed. It is open. They moved everything outside so you have to enter through the gates on the side of the building. It looks like they are closed from the parking lot in front of the building. And there are no signs saying that they moved the entrance to the side of the building. I was disappointed to learn that everything is $1.50 an item after spending an hour digging and collecting my items. I did find one thing that made it worth my time. So it still is a great place. Hopefully they will go back to selling by the pound not by item.
      Danny
    • OMG!! I love shopping at this Goodwill Outlet. There is so many good stuff, but so many resellers as well... It's been really hard to dig for hidden gems when the weather is this hot. I'd suggest coming right at opening when the sun is still rising

Price per pound & rules in California

Every California outlet weighs your haul at the register. Rates are set per Goodwill region rather than per store, and bulk thresholds (25 lb / 50 lb) lower the rate. Books, furniture and electronics are usually priced per piece. Bring gloves, wait behind the line during rotations, and keep small children out of the bins — the listed rules for each outlet are on its page.

Also in California: Amazon bin stores and liquidation stores. Guides: pay by the pound · rotation schedules · outlet hours · outlet rules.

Frequently asked questions

How many Goodwill outlets are in California?

20 open Goodwill outlets in California across 18 cities, plus 1 closed location kept for reference. Panorama City has the most (2).

How much are the Goodwill bins in California per pound?

19 of the 21 California outlets are listed as pay-by-the-pound. Goodwill sets rates by region, so check the outlet's own page for any shopper-reported rate, and expect a lower rate above a bulk threshold. The pay-by-the-pound guide collects the rates shoppers report nationally.

Do California Goodwill outlets have rotation schedules?

16 California outlets reference a published third-party rotation guide (bins per hour, daily rotations, busiest times). Rotation times themselves are not in our dataset — the outlet pages link to the guide.

Are there Amazon bin stores nearby too?

Yes — 15 Amazon bin stores in California sell returns by the piece. See bin stores in California.

Know a California outlet we're missing?

Add it or report a change; we verify against Goodwill's own regional site before publishing.
