Amazon-style bin stores restock once a week, most often on Friday (23 of the 40 stores with a named day) or Thursday (14). Goodwill outlets do not have a restock day at all — 0 of 166 name one — because they rotate bins continuously through the day.
All 40 sourced restock days belong to Amazon bin stores and liquidation stores. That is a small sample, so the table also shows the price-based proxy for every ladder store: the weekday on which each store charges its highest price. The two columns line up — Friday is the top-price day at 150 of 261 stores (57.5%) and Saturday at 62 (23.8%), which is the pattern you would expect if most stores refill going into the weekend.

Restock day wins on selection and loses on price. At the 24 stores with both a named restock day and a ladder, the median restock-day price is $12 and the median floor is $1; 23 of the 24 charge at least twice their floor on restock day. The cheapest day is Wednesday at 45.2% of ladder stores.
The trade-off is mechanical. On restock morning every bin is full of untouched stock and the store charges $10 (the most common opening price) because resellers will pay it for first pick of electronics, tools and sealed goods. By Wednesday the same bins have been worked over for days, the price is $1, and what is left is small, odd or incomplete — but there is a lot of it, and it is nearly free. 19.5% of stores are cheapest on Thursday, and almost none on the weekend.
A practical split: go on restock day if you want one specific category (a stroller, a power tool, a set of sheets) and can afford $10 an item; go on Wednesday or Thursday if you are filling a box for resale or a craft project. How to find your local store's restock day
Check three places in order: the store's own website (19 of the 40 known restock days came from one), its public listings (14), and recent customer reviews (6). 306 of the 501 stores in the directory link a Facebook page, and that is where most daily announcements are posted.
Only 112 stores (22.4%) have a website of their own, so Facebook is the working channel for most: 61.1% of listings link a page, 139 an Instagram account and 29 a TikTok. Look for a pinned post or a weekly graphic — stores that restock on a fixed day tend to advertise it as “$10 Friday” or “Full restock Saturday” rather than as a schedule.
Reviews are the fallback. Shoppers mention restocking in reviews at 32 stores in the directory and lines or queues at 26, and a review that says “came Tuesday and half the store was blocked off for Wednesday's restock” is as good as a schedule. The store's price ladder is the last resort and the most reliable: whichever day carries the top price is restock day, and a day the store closes mid-week (157 ladder stores are closed on Thursday) is usually the day the truck is unloaded. Expect a line before opening on restock day — reviewers mention lines or waiting at 26 stores — and expect to be let in in groups. Most stores open at 10 AM and close at 6 PM. The directory records the queue only as review mentions, not as wait times, so treat “turn up before opening” as the practical advice rather than any specific number of minutes — and skip it entirely on the $1 day.
The queue exists because restock stock is unsorted and the first people through find the most. Regulars bring gloves, a bag or a bin, and a plan for one or two aisles; digging is expected, running is not, and staff at most stores hold the door until the bins are set. Which Weekday Is the Most Common Bin Store Restock Day
Friday is the most common bin store restock day, with 23 of the 40 stores that publish a restock day choosing it. Thursday is a distant second at 14 stores, and no store in the directory lists Monday or Tuesday as a restock day.
The full weekday distribution is lopsided toward the end of the week. After Friday and Thursday, Saturday lands 8 stores and Sunday just 2, while Wednesday records a single store. Monday and Tuesday sit at zero.
